Wow, what a great experience. I was invited to create work on several cars for a gallery show of my work to publicize Carstar's annual fundraiser for cystic fibrosis research. Robin and I flew to Toronto where we stayed in a beautiful hotel and I worked for several days to produce work for the show, a teaser for out front, and a piece depicting the hosts of a national morning talk show, which did a short segment on the event. This was my first solo gallery show, and it was very successful in getting media attention for this great cause. Most of the pieces had Canadian themes: polar bears, Toronto skyline, Canadian musicians, Lake Louise, and then two other others, one based on M.C. Escher's "Relativity" and a depiction of Marilyn Monroe and Audrey Hepburn. The folks we worked with couldn't have been nicer and it was great to be part of such a worthwhile project.
